still working on the robot dude ( its taking way longer than i planned) but meanwhile here is a screen of me messing with the marmoset 2 beta update 4, the new anyso shader does wonder for hair
Partly, but not fully. While it is true that the importer requires very lowres textures (128*256 in the case of a Pudge head piece), there are obviously other problems here, as shown by the faceted look you are getting in the portrait preview screen.
I agree. The wall of buttons is intimidating. When modeling, who has use for 50+ buttons on screen at any given time? Hotkey the primary and most used functions, display the secondary functions in the UI, hide the rest.
One could argue that its not really about owning a flat screen TV or not, but more about the whole idea that everything is based on nonsensical virtual money credit system that simply goes nowhere but is the norm here in the US.
So what would be the solution for a digital artist to make content that displays well on most screens? IE If I did color calibrate everything and there were no strokes visible for me; it doesn't guarantee that there wont be fore others?
Just a quick update. I've finished the rough sculpt and have started to pose my model. I'm also changing my concept to be a more traditional werewolf (ripped cloths and all). Here are some screen shots:
RobertHammer, supaclueless, Paul68Rageous, Walrus, thanks glad you like it. :) Sliterin, most of peeling i just painted in ps, and some took from normal textures. Olli, emmmm it's 4096x4096 as i indicated it on last screen. :)
edit: this totally looks like crap but I'm keeping it for legacy purposes ;) The original wider version communicates through composition what I meant to say better, and I like it more when viewed full-screen:
Looking forward to see how this progresses. I love the concepts, especially the tileable panels. Are you gonna follow the concept's color too? I like those yellow screens, but the overall image seems pretty warm.
I would also advice you to get 2 monitors instead of one. Working with softwares like these often require you to not only multitask between them but also to keep your screen panels ordered and sorted.
