i don't really see Business Cards as being as needed in the 3D industry as they are in other fields. since in 3d your no likely going to meet future employers in person. vs being in film or audio where there is a good chance you will meet people on set or at gigs that might hire you in person. -

haha.. nice to be not in the us.. but i would also put sooooooooooooooo big watermarks all over it if this happens in the future.. so i don´t think something like this is possible.. or stand for very long imo it would cost a lot more than privat copyrighting would bring in we will see... -

1st attempt at a Hand Painted Tiling Texture. I know its not very good but I'll be doing more in the future so they should get better! I don't want to spend days on each one. I believe the more I do the better I will become & the faster I'll become. -

Unfortunately I'm not a programmer, but I guess it's safe to conclude that nobody has yet found a reliable and inexpensive method of accomplish normal-blending between staticmeshes and the landscape in Unreal Engine 4. @3dguru: thanx! I won't continue him, but I will probably use some of the design elements in other sketches or other future characters of mine. here's a little vray rendering. the shapes aren't well defined and they don't hold well under bounced light. some of the features are kinda washed out -

Thanks tristamus, in a way I felt using real pictures and filters was a form of cheating, thanks for that. ayoub44, heres my result from that link. Seems like a decent method that I may use in the future. ZacD, thanks for that link. Just translated it and going to poke around, looks very interesting. -

I'm not really that fussed about the HD's capacity, as at the moment I'm using under 250 Gbs (sharing a pc with someone). And a HD is pretty cheap. If I'll need some more space in the future, I'll buy one :) As for the case, I'm going for a regular ATX (I'm guessing it's midi, not big tower). -
Re: Modeling enviornments for MMO
10k polys for an alley scene in an MMO sounds fine to me. Based on some stuff I was looking at on your site (I'm digging the evil little tank), I would suggest modeling future pieces with about 2-3 times as many polys as you use for your current stuff. -

btw, i had used mental ray before for ambient occlusion maps. i'm experimenting with dirt maps anyways, i'll take all these things into consideration, and create a small checklist, for future reference for anyone who's unfortunate enough to have to deal with the confusing world of 3ds max normal mapping.
