I am of the opinion that no work you do should go unpayed or rewarded. Don't do your work for free. If you want some income, look for some freelance work you can do here and there while you look for a fulltime job. Look for maybe contract work in the movie industry. My tip....pick a handful of game studios and/or genres that your really like and play their games (play their older games too). Analyze and synthesize their art direction and visual language. It will give you a ton of practical ideas as to how to focus your portfolio(s) moreso than art books or random google… -

Just go and do something else for a bit, its not uncommon to find it hard to get started on something new....Dont worry about it and something will bite soon enough. After I finished my last freelance job I didnt do anything for about a month, now I am pumped for modelling again. Just chill out, get away from the computer…
