Haven't posted in the thread in a while so here's a quick update on the scene. Modeled in all of the pieces for the hallway inside. Currently working on the rocks and tunnel. Thanks LT_COMMANDER, however I am not worried about my "gaint n-gon" right now, its just a place holder for my final product. What I am worried about however is figuring out how to make the angle transition I need.
Made this basic helm so far. Moslty done with 3dsmax and a little bit of Zbrush. Made the front of his helm flat so i can easily add a filter with geometry, sculpt or paint. I'm going to add a flashlight holder to the side of his helmet next.
Sorry for the lack of updates guys, been away over the week, (Notting Hill carnival woo woo :) ) Got some things done - redid the tool holders, got some tools and did the belt around the gloves. I think i'm done with the highpoly now. Piccys:
I have yet to actually see the map play, but from the ss's alone I'd say add some variation in the cargo holders/truck backs/big red boxes. I think HL2 has different textures for that object (changes its variables in the entity modifier).
