Tynew....afaik he was never a director, he was a producer on quite a few films, the most famous being Lord of War. Agreed tho, all signals point toward epic trainwreck......the question is tho, will it become the Great Train Robbery of our time?
He's talking about dominant directionals (ignore the topic title). Light shafts always appear correctly at the origin, and increasingly incorrectly the further you move from it. It's been like that for a very long time and it doesn't look like Epic are interested in fixing it.
O. Must play around the lensflare stuff. For one of the levels we're making I just reverse did what epic has and implemented some of my own stuff. I hate animating camera's though this really needs one :poly142:
Thank you very much for the input. I'll start working on it and post the results. I'll try different options on the wood texture to try to get a better too. As for the lighting somehow I'm unable to replicate the results Epic shows in their "Realistic rendering" example:
Thanks for the advice Marcus, but I made the room intentionally small with very simple design and perspective. If I can't get this small, simple room with a small, simple chair in it looking right, then there isn't much use of creating a big epic room to fail on.
Hey dude. UT2004 is my favourite game of all time basically haha. Epic did an amazing job with that game in pretty much every aspect. I definitely see the inspiration from that game in this so far, keep up the good work :)
Even though my drawing and concepting skills are epic fail, I voted "no". I like the idea that you have to be a one man show for the Dominance War. It will push you to explore more facets of (game) art, which is a good thing IMHO. :)
Bruce Campbell? orr the boomstick? mannn just imagine if if was Chuck Norris and Mcgyver vs the zombies........fkkn epic! (chuck could destroy their heads with ka-ra-tey and McGyver could make a fortress out of pine cones and a rubber band :P )
Hey Erik, unfortunately I don't look at every resume that comes through. I can pass along your site and if the art director is interested he will be in touch. Looks like a good start down the right track, just keep it up!
Hello everyone! I'd like to share my recent level design work, 'Downtown' I've done in UE5. It took around 1 and a half days to make and the assets are from Epic marketplace. I've added a little colour correction and minor post to the final rendered image which is why it will look ever so slightly different to the…
