MeintevdS - They are not the same cow. They are just of one mind! :D I see what you mean about the cobbestones though. I will def go back into them later - thanks for the crit! chrisavigni - Thank you lots ^_^ Here's my villa model. The whole scene here is approximately 5.5 k tris. SubD is pretty reliant on polygon modeling tools, and last time I used Maya (5.5 I think? a couple of years ago) Max seemed to have some stronger poly-modeling features than Maya. Of course standard Max (except 2010 where it is integrated as "Graphite") benefits greatly from Polyboost for additional SubD tools.
Thanks guys! I think i'm just gonna stick with a single more powerful card for now, going to go with : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125462&cm_re=Gigabyte_GeForce_GTX_770-_-14-125-462-_-Product for now at least. Anyone else use a GTX 770 or have any thoughts on the setup?
Yeah just overlay another normal map on top of another one. nDo will do it or do it by hand. Adjust the levels of the one you're laying on top to output only 1/2 of the blue channel (so instead of 0 to 255 take it down to 0 to 127/128) and set the blend mode to overlay.
Here are some links for blender users http://blenderartists.org/forum http://cg.tutsplus.com/category/tutorials/blender/ http://www.blendercookie.com/category/all/tutorials/ http://www.blenderguru.com/ http://foreverblender.blogspot.com/ http://www.blendervideos.com/ http://blenderunderground.com/…
Pior gives help! That may help. You can't make a full normalmap just by painting a greyscale and running it through the filter. You have to change it to Overlay mode on top of your base normalmap, set the blue channel's levels to 127 instead of 255, collapse that and run the filter again set to Normalise.
I have legit adobe cs3 master collection (one of the perks of my friend working for adobe is cheap commerical licenses). Wait I thought modo used to cost $595 what happened there? But $995 is a bit out of range at the moment (really quite poor). I will give blender another shot.
hey Adam in Zbrush when baking your normal if you first go to Color and change the RGB to 128/128/255 then create a new Texture the size you want it will give you that nice even Normal Blue background so you wont have that ugly white behind your texture.
Hello everyone, so I have just installed Quixel suite 1.8, run it and choosed my Photoshop folder, now once I try to create a new project (1024x1024) I get this error: so I tried to fix it up and create a smaller project with width and height of 255 and now I got this error:
@ParadoxTLH- Yeah I thought so too but the regular messer doesn't even touch his hand :/ . I do in fact have mine a bit longer than theirs. @Jackalope- Their messer is the same direction: Maybe I'm just using the wrong anim set? 3p_longsword [125]. Or it's supposed to be that way... Any thoughts?
