I bought a Vaio Series F laptop about 2 months ago.. smaller than the average desktop replacement but I like that as I lug it around quite a bit. works really well downloaded half a dozen steam games on to it and works fine.. Shogun total war II chugs a bit though.. -

Well, I had gotten used to that by now. We always get screwed when it comes to pricing; don't get me even started on Steam ;) Then again, 250 Euro at launch is not that bad. I never buy hardware at day 1 so I will wait a year until it has a solid games library. -
Re: Twisted metal?
I played a ton of Twisted Metal 2. I was looking around recently for something to satisfy that urge. Looks like the more recent TM games are nothing to look at. And if the newest revision is PS3 only, it also won't be played. Try DIPRIP, the HL2 mod on Steam, for some good "free" Car Combat acton. -

Steam's working just fine so far (aside from the aforementioned issue i'm having with fallout 3 and bioshock in fullscreen, though I'd imagine those are related to those specific games). My x-fi (i've got the usb one) went a bit wonky after the upgrade, but was fixed with a driver update. -

Yes I know what a .vtf is, the question was where they were stored so I could extract them. After some more searching I have finally found the path, if anyone else is wondering the textures are stored here. c:\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\source materials.gcf\hl2\materials -
Some help with Alien swarm SDK
I am using the steam tool alien swarm SDK to get some pictures of dota 2 models so that i can edit them in photoshop but when I save a screenshot and load it in photoshop it only loads a tiny bit of the screenshot, like the top 10% of the picture the rest is blanc white. Please I wanna fix this odd porblem -
