been working on material studies since I started work, using UE3 Attempt at a jade shader: Crits HIGHLY encouraged. Floor texture by Epic (had to include it, havent messed with default PP yet which has MAD bloom.)
I've asked around and people say it's a bug that may or may not fix itself by restarting the project or reloading the level. I tried it, sometimes grass appears, sometimes it doesn't. A bug with a major node that people use, that Epic apparently don't deem necessary to fix.
Why is no one talking about this game? its major. Its epic. Nothing like it. Some really crappy imgs of some of the stuff i just got. Been playing this on PC, at 4K, running smooth. Its just breathtaking running at Max settings.
For perspective.. http://epicgames.com/community/2012/11/free-art-tool-released-thanks-to-epic-friday/ The start line is when you pick up a pencil / tablet and put down your keyboard / mouse. aka, get off forums and just DRAW!
omg platinum games metal gear first time ive been giddily excited about a game in half a decade. Also, i'm also super glad epic is making minecraft. Maybe it will actually be a GAME, where things INTERACT and CHANGE, and not just a toolset.
haha this totally reminded me of this http://youtu.be/xBbGmkMGyok?t=6s But jokes aside, yeah you're right, it would be better for him to collapse. The environment is called "Epic Citadel" and is included with UDK. It's a tech demo to show off the engine running on iOS devices.
The triangulation of the mesh is different. try to connect the verices and bake the normalmap again. the you avoid issues with different autotriangulation algorythms. also what noremac7777 said it is better if you would adjust the UV that you have straight edges to ovoid subpixel blending on the edges.
Give hadplane a try, it should provide better shading for unreal. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116899 Also Epic made improvements in normals pipeline through xnormal pipeline, though works only on static meshes. http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/XNormalWorkflow.html
Yeah this game is Epic, me and some colleagues spent so much time playing it at my last job. Probably fun to send it out to the whole office and hear people trying to play it for the next hour or so... Productivity may slow down a bit. :)
Congrats to the guy, Though he's gotta do his own soundtrack next time :) (despite how epic the 28days music is) to be fair this kind of makes me think of how a Command an Conquer or red alert movie would look. Good luck to the dude!
