Posing 3d model is finished. The next step is to set the optimal lighting for final renders and thousand tons of overpaintingz! You can check 3d blank here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qm0En
This looks great so far, thanks for posting your progress. really helpful to a noobie like me to see some workflow and the steps people take on tackling larger projects like this. Thanks! :)
Hi, uv mapping is an obligatory step before baking maps ? I'm a newbee and it's a bit complex... Here's un example of an uv mapping on a sphere + square. Problem is the same. Thanks for your help
Somewhat, though Wii took a step back by not having programmable shaders (Why something like Doom3 could be done on the original XBox but not Wii). Plus the xbox could do 720p/1080i.
Here's another quick playblast of the progress I've made. Still working on applying some of the feedback I got but I think it's a step in the right direction. https://www.syncsketch.com/playground/1cffa7e489e346aeb2c3253ce3ecd220#197463
Just a small preview of what i'm working on atm. Will try to post more steps in between this time, in case anyone is interested! Slowly making progress on my hard surface sculpting skills:
I think you should step down a few subdivision levels and really nail the shape of the overall skull etc before adding eyelids and ear detail etc. Likenesses are not easy, keep at it.
Thanks! Moving on to the final steps of the splash~ Drew everything in, working on lighting at the moment. Not completely happy with the lighting so got a lot more work to do on it. Excited to get into the painting and finish up!
@jose.fuentes it's nothing special but I'm without a useable drawing tablet this weekend so figured I'd put together a quick image containing my main steps, hope it's at least a little useful :)
@Gazu you really need to back up a step and learn how to do basic modeling, and how to use maya, so you can actually understand what is happening in a video like that.
