Thanks for the comments! Here's an update of the asset in UE4. I wanted to make a scene to showcase my game asset, so I built a small environment to give some context. [Credit] - The Trees, Rocks and Foliage assets are made by Epic Games. -

Yeah, there were quite a few layoffs in November. I'm alright though, I'm contracting for Epic via Pitbull these days, so it all worked out nicely enough. I just lost all my holiday days, which was a shitter! -

It's funny, when I was reading this I had my d'artiste 'character modeling 2' book in front of me open at a page with work from James Hawkins and Kevin Lanning. You guys at Epic make some extremely awesome art! -

Check out the official UE4 Youtube channel that should cover the basics for you. There are also dozens of free Examples that you can download from the Epic Games Launcher if you want to see how more complicated set ups work. -

Trying to get normal mapping pinned before going all-out on detailing the body. Keeping in mind the texture resolution determined by the rigid epic uv system, I'm not getting great results. :P more info here test: Ideas? -

Im working on something that will be my best yet. I promise to post some images very soon, like a week. It will be like the pillar but much more ambitious and split into 3 dvd. The high res dvd comes out first and will be epic!
