@Alex-agreed. I'll have to fix that on the color map. Seems like the detail was stretched or skewed while transferring in xNormal.

Well, maya dosn't use mental ray when baking normal maps in transfer maps. If you don't chose it.

That looks useful r_fletch_r, but i doubt that could be transfered easily to a game engine without some special shader that supports it.

Use transfer maps choose the "alpha" option. Baking alpha will respect any texture based alpha transparency on sheets.

Usually I make a sphere covering the hair, and use that to transfer vertex normal. Not using the head itself. But the sphere on top.
