Just be careful with your contract and NDA with any potential replacement. I know someone who after paying for a license for the engine for the new programmer, said programmer took the engine and the code for the game at that stage and walked off to do their own thing.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13762052/polycount/Pistol.md5mesh Really i did nothing special, just parenting in max. Might be trouble with exporter ? But as it's just a text file, if you replace the extras -1 with 0 to redefine the parenting level, shouldn't it work ?
You start by knowing how to script fluently, because otherwise you're boned. Firstly, examine what you've got and what can be salvaged. Do you have a baseline of assets you can't really afford (money or time) to replace?
Crease has its uses, but it cannot just replace standard subdivision modeling all the time. Personally I tend to use it on support loops, instead of using double support loops. Keeps the mesh lighter and produces equally good results.
Well the second one is clearly robotic entirely, so it makes more sense. The upper one is neat *saves because gud* and looks like someone who might've had to get pieces of her face replaced after an incident to me.
Except you dont have a high poly source to bake from when modding, that's the biggest downside. So, it's better to create a new replacement from a scratch. I've never liked the idea of modding anything FROM a pre-made stuff.
Feel like a dope since I installed the Photo beta but never used it. Now I gotta decide if this can replace photoshop. Are there any areas where it's not fleshed out yet, or is it pretty much fine exporting and working with game textures?
Thanks! Originally I just had a PostProcessing volume with some colour changing, and a stationary skylight. Ive added a very, very dim directional light. Atmospheric fog is used to replace the skybox as well. There is no custom HDRI but I might look into it.
Not to sure what you mean by the spotted look, but if you want it to look smoother, you can try increasing the amount of photons, which will also increase render time. The parti-volume node could probably be replaced with light-fog aswell.
I hope this game sees a release and all of these talented artists get paid. Im not sure where these problems came from but I hope the studio stabilizes and whoever drove the company into the ground is replaced or held responsible. Goodluck to everyone involved
