Some progress on this thing, the idea with ropes and marble was taken from Plamen Tamnev on artstation: https://cdna.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/026/585/762/large/plamen-tamnev-env-draft-21.jpg?1589188193
Rasmus> I haven't had time to continue fiddeling with this UDK side project. I haven't given up on it though. Still want to get it right. I want to achieve similar results to the top row of images in this image:
Is the image "Flat" in photoshop? There's a subtle change behind the scenes if the only layer is named Layer 0 or Background. Try Layer>Flatten Image. It's beta software, so if that still gives you an issue, pass them a note on their tracker?
I love the spec maps for that first image. But seriously, I would look into the shadows on your grass. Right now you've got that floating disconnect that just immediately draws my eyes and takes me out of the image.
Thank you! :) A good example how RNMs separate colors depending on angle of indirect light in Mirrors Edge. First image shows lightmap only. Second image shows the same scene in the game. Look at the ventilation thingy.
that's not really theft so much as a bad image based on a tutorial. i wonder if this guy simply got those UI images from somewhere else and thought they were free to use, rather than it being malicious theft?
Adding transitional meshes could finalize the already great look for your gums/teeth: https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/012/926/967/large/vadim-sorici-transitional-meshes-tutorial-teeth01-update.jpg?1537221551
Can't comment on the first image as at this angle I can't figure it out, but your second image is not an artifact per se. Your lowpoly isn't matching the highpoly close enough. Adding some more geometry should fix it.
Always a big fan of sci-fi, so really liking this! How did you get the sand looking like that in the last two images and what's the effect you used on the third-to-last image to get that volumetric look?
very nice loving the model so far cannot wait to see it textured. as for your images why not use a blogspot account they are free and you can have as many images as you like thats what i use :)
