Currently working on a piece that is heavily based on high-poly modeling techniques. I am doing this more out of casual practice than anything. UNSC Pump put on hold for now. Reference: Where I am at so far:
Learning to sculpt and learning to use software are 2 different thing. I'm sure you can find your way around Mudbox in a couple hours of practice. Zbrush maybe a day or 2. But to master the art of sculpting... that will be a long journey.
So much ignorance. Nothing will change. Bliz has stated this already. You don't simply tell a company that has over 100 Million a month in revenue to change practice. It's just a back-end merger. The studios will not be mixing content.
I don't know, the video didn't impress me. I do some pretty nice tileable textures just from making them myself in Photoshop. It's not always the fastest way, but I enjoy the practice and am familiar with PS.
like the tanks in post two and the ground turret, not a fan of the texture work tho, practice makes perfect :P never heard of game maker before, i'd stick with current game engines but depends what you're into i guess
johny what you are suggesting requires a_getting up and b_bending over that's practically preposterous i've these errors occasionally, dunno which versions were the drivers, i just reboot. all you can do is switch drivers really
just curious.. how much of a performance increase on x64 versions do you see if you have under 2 gig of ram?? (i heard that if you have under 2 its practically pointless to go 64-bit)
I would still like to debate that its not the art thats good or bad, but the practice of buying and selling art that is a sham! Looking at art and purchasing art a a long-term investment rather than as an appreciation for the piece is pretty upsetting. :(
Could I do this if I'm a complete nub? ;A; I'd just like to get some practice and learn. I know I missed like half the month.. but I'd like to maybe start something and see if I can finish.
By the way, mind if I ask one more question? How many hours did you practice per a day when you were beginner of 3D art ? And, how many years did you take to get a job?
