a tree! Too many people are not very good at making trees, and a lot of artists seem to avoid having to make vegetation! Would be good practice, and there's lots of different techniques to explore =)
Little bit more of an update. Added a few props in, and broke up the rowhouses a bit more. Going to be focusing on adding more props and vegetation when I get the time.
This is really neat! +1 for lighting the lanterns and enlarging the tree, I think. Could we see some wires too, I've love to get a good look at your vegetation. :)
Definetly want to try this! Although I'm mostly skilled in vegetation and foliage design. Have experience with Blender, Photoshop, Mudbox and other smaller programs... Send me a Private message
This looks pretty cool. It does seem that there is a lot of green between the trim and the top tier compared to the rest of the scene, though. Maybe some more moss and vegetation on the floor and ceiling?
This is looking cool. Really digged the shot looking outside with the vegetation. Are you planning to do more with the lighting? I think some better lighting will benefit the scene a little bit.
Another thing that is easily perceptible, It's like you change your artstyle depending on the thematic. your mushrooms and your vegetables house looks like they were made by 2 differents people.
Thanks! No there is a lot of work left to do. I'm planning to add more vegetations, add moss material on the walls and many many tasks to finish. In the end, I will publish it in unreal marketplace.
That looks better!! However, the scene looks a bit empty. Maybe is just me but I think there is something missing. Maybe after working a bit more on it and setting some moss and vegetation...
Without being able to run 8 bit transparency in Unreal it's pretty pointless comparing performance. Correct me if I'm wrong but I've yet to see a UE3 game using that on vegetation.
