Ooh that's even better. If you have UVs, Connect will generally keep them intact while you're sliding or pinching, but scaling or moving won't. -

I've been after something like this - the connect thing I use a load of edges to select one, and pinching, etc disturbs the UV map. :) -

You should use the dual of a Geodisic Dome for the shield effect. Ain't no good using hexagons if you're gonna pinch them at the poles anyway. -

you could solve that pinch by triangulating this part tho. but it would only work in this case, on curved surfaces you can usually not get away with this -

Looks great. The design reminds me (slightly) of Human Revolution's machine pistol. What's with the pinching on the corners of the oblong inset for the stock to slide back into? -
