Here's something in more of a pencil look from a day earlier. I think I need to zoom in more before I start drawing so I get a better resolution to work with. I always forget that :-s
Although I think it can make it worse in some cases. I'm tending to use the marquee too to cut and past body parts that I've drawn to big or small, and redrawing over that. Can't do that with pencil and paper :D
Oh also, I just wanted to say; while the painted props look lovely, I also really love the initial texture stage with just the "pencil" work. Could make for a really striking art style. :p
Make that 23. Don't listen to the cake... Cakes have a tendency to lie about these kind of things. When I was three I first picked up a pencil... still have some of the drawings I made back then, LOL.
I'm trying to shrink pencils down to about avatar size. This works fine on simple stuff But a loose too much detail on bigger stuff and you can forget about fine detail. Anyone go any tips on this. Another thing I wondered was if there was a way to convert line art into vector graphics?
Hello, my name is Devon! I'm a comic artist and character illustrator and have been drawing my whole life. Currently, I'm taking commissions and looking for longer-term comic book work as either a penciler and/or inker. Portfolio: https://www.devonkennedyart.com/ Email: devonkennedy02@gmail.com
More traditional stuff. If I'm honest, after working 100% digitally in photoshop for my daily job, in my free time it's way more refreshing to just pick up a pencil or pen and just feel that real paper texture.
waiting to be "inspired" its a flaw, its an illusion Artists do not just wait for that magical sensation to kick in. They just do it. Just like Nike says. Grab that pencil and just draw anything! Do some life drawing classes! Go to a church and study architecture! Travel! See the world!
hahahaha I dont use PS anymore, you might have forgotten but the only thing I pretty much use these days is a calculator for counting beans. Any artwork I do is traditional materials pencil acrylics and oils.. I only use my PC for games and pr0n
The top image is the weakest of them. The others are quite great and you have a nice comic book penciler feel in the later illustrations. I understand the top one is a WIP, though. Just tighten up those details and choose a primary light source to help pop your artwork out.
