my recent favorite is Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield. Truly epic novel about the battle of Thermopylae with exhaustive research providing a rich historical backdrop for a truly amazing piece of historical fiction. Fuck 300, a movie based on this book would be the ultimate epic. -

valve directly ... the epic credit is there because i contributed 3 maps to the officialy endorsed comunnity bonus pack also david spalinski one of epics leveldesigners gave me a unfinished ut2k4 map to finish / polish (i also made it all custom content ^^) -

The decline in comps over the years IS a sad thing. However, it shouldn't come as that much of a surprise. Like others here, I'll just speculate on the reasons why. 1. To maintain any interforum comp, you actually need other sites with which to compete. The global art community just isn't filled with a lot of forums these… -

With so many people who work at Epic reading PC all the time how do they not know we ALL want a wireframe mode in UDK that isnt that shity see through thing they have? Flat shaded, no transparency wireframe in the next unreal engine please epic :) -

Holy crap! When did you post this?!? Freaking epic of course, I wish I could paint environments as well as you. But you already know that; what brushes are you using for foliage? It looks fantastic! And that day/night thing is pretty epic. Was that for the PK contest?
