Every time I come here there are pages and pages of awesome arts to catch up on. Killer work everyone. Trying a new direction + new workflow. Sculpting with asymmetry is fun.....so much still to go but I am enjoying it so I think there will be more. Not sure if I will create a thread for this yet but maybe in the future.…
It was sculpted and polypainted in Zbrush, rendered in Keyshot. The shader on the skin is the translucent shader using my polypaint colours as the diffuse, I also disabled any additional material textures that keyshot loads. I said I 'might' do a full orc :P hehe might do one of the warlords of draenor that wasn't in the…
great selection of work all round, good stuff peeps been doing more 'noodling' with my hand painted style. zbrush sculpt then hand painted diffuse with various overlays from zbrush no longer a likeness exercise , just practising my painting this was a very basic blockout, hair was nicked from elsewhere hope to do some more…
Awesome sculpt, pretty much spot on! The only difference I noticed is that the original sculpture had its head tilted a bit upwards as it emphasizes his authority. The other thing is that the bounced light is a bit too strong for me (judging from the bright creases). You could try to reduce the diffuse color's intensity…
@rodgon: My god thats a beautiful sculpt, thank you for the blog post breakdown also, really useful. I think you should consider dialing down the color value of the chainmail in the second render, not sure if thats just Zbrush's BPR but you could do it just by painting over it in photoshop with a darken layer. It's really…
These look fantastic! I wish I could sculpt cloth like that. Alas, I'm in the early days of such a technique. You should add some thickness to the shirt. Most shirts wouldn't wrap around the muscles of the body so well unless the shirt was wet, I'd assume.. (see: pecs and upper back muscles) Might chuck this in my…
@ scythe: Your sculpts are really great! I especially like the choice for the pose. Do you come up with those your self or from a reference? Looking forward for more of this. I have finally finished my gas nozzle. It took me longer than I had planned and estimated. Texturing for pbr takes more time I think. But I will…
Working on a female survivor-type character based off of TLOU (just played through it a third time..). This was also the first time I ever tried my hand at sculpting a female character, so I worked on the entire body, despite whether or not it would be in the final mesh. For example, the bra itself won't be in the final…
Hi all, first post to Polycount! I recently picked up zBrush and have started a 'guinea pig' piece to find a decent workflow from sculpt to game ready model. If anyone has any tips/resources they think would help or if you could provide any one on one tips from time to time that would be even better! :) WIP image:…
This was originally from the character challenge back in January. I decided to pick it up again since I hadn't finished it. Sculpted in ZBrush and I baked down the lighting information as a base. As of now it's just a diffuse map so I can practice painting. I should also mention it's not done yet as I'm working on hair now…
