nice stuff, but like mentioned a few times before it would really be nice if the images were actually hot linked here like any other thread. Because browsing images on blogs is not so super sexy
I assume it may differ for different genres. Especially where people use tiny small texel size . It dictates you certain visual "style" although . You do smaller texel size and could care less about per pixel precision for sure but because of that your textures turn to be super even and flat . You can't allow any…
You guys are insane.. And Ben, when I saw the first images of the house I was like "well some stuff to do I guess" but when I reached the last images I was mind blown.. Ca-Racy!
Wow, excellent scene! I'm curious, are those pants actually modeled out, or are they just an image plane? I'm assuming image plane, but, you've pulled the illusion off quite well. It's just a nit pick observation and curiosity ;)
You can import a HDR image and a copy of it (as a tga) into the engine -place a skylight in the scene -switch it to use a cubemap -choose the hdr image -make a new skydome material -add the tga version and map it on the skydome and now experiment ;)
I agree the bridge image looks great! Consider maybe re-positioning your top down view to get the most out of your image. Choose an angle that lets those shadows flex to add some contrast.
After rendering, load the image sequence and re-render at half resolution. Many ways to load and render an image sequence. Simplest is to go to Material Editor, load it in a Bitmap map, then right-click the preview sphere and choose Render.
Oh wow first time I see these images on my own monitors (not the ones at work). And the images are way brighter here. I also like the new lighting improvements you did. Really love the design on the robot!
Thanks DCB. I can give the body another look before continuing with the clothing. Do you know of any images that show plane structure for the whole body, like the image you sent me with the face planes?
The sculpts and images look great, but i think maybe you should play around with the colors of the trees. Something about the purple leaves look off. or it could just be your lighting. overall the image looks great though.
