Its easy to oversize eyeballs, so I try to use the rule of "make them as big as I think they should be, then a bit smaller". Unless its a stylized character with specifically oversized eyes, chances are you won't make them too small. a rock has gone through so much shit in its lifetime that it appears to look random.. (every crack has its sense) if you force yourself to do something from imagination while not even being able to copy a real one, it's gonna end badly.. I know quite a few people who like to draw lots of weird characters calling it comic… -

I think my biggest issue when it comes to sculpting realistic heads is eye size. Since I'm used to creating stylized characters, I have a habit to making the eyes rather large. When I try to counter that instinct, I make the eyes too small (or what feels like too small.) Then I counter that by making them larger again.… -

Thanks for the feedback. Those were the three things I would improve on as well. I went a bit overboard with stylizing the vehicle and ended up with a cookie texture that looked like concrete. I also had trouble with the organic character, making the body too high poly in order to keep topological consistency with the arms… -

Aesthetics also play a big factor into how a game looks and feels. You could have great graphics but if the aesthetics is all boring (say entirely brown palette) then ultimately the world feels dull. Thanks for the critique! I agree that the DP hair looks a little barren at the moment, I'll think up some ideas of what to add to give it more flair. Hi Roxanne! This looks awesome! I have a couple suggestions - her eyes look kindof unnaturally large, so I would shrink them a bit. Her jaw also looks too thin, even for stylized, as well as the bridge of the nose. She has a great profile though ;) Also this is really nitpicky but it's kinda bugging me - the shirt hangs… -

I'm more used to working with mobile budgets and the only characters I've sculpted were a lot simpler and more stylized.
