Hey! Looks good. It would help us give feedback if we knew what you are doing for the scene and what you'd like feedback on. Are you modelling and texturing it all, or is it a scene you're building out of assets you've downloaded?
Here are the final shots for the scene. I greatly appreciate all the feedback that everyone provided. @JamesBrisnehan @Eric Chadwick @KW_Arts @teodar23 thank you guys for keeping up with the scene and constantly pointing out things I could improve on.
I have not posted here in awhile, But here is where the scene is atm. Also, to everyone who has taken the time to post feed back. It has helped both the scene so far, and also myself as an artist. Thank you :)
Hey @EvArt, the scene is really coming together, the background elements really help to tie it in, the lighting is also great! I was wondering how you got the ivy in the scene, was this a shader? or did you foliage paint the leaves onto the wall?
really nice work. i think the fallen hero scene could be pushed some levels with better lighting. currently it looks like the same brightness at any area of the room. The scene and props are great but the lightning hasn't the same level.
By closed mesh, you mean creating the walls/ceiling in a 3d program right? Which would be more beneficial for a scene like this, closed mesh or BSP? I only ask because I'm also building a scene in UDK :P
improved version 1.1.2 online scene files of the 12 elaborate scenes shown in the gallery on the website are now freely available there Key on sale 1 more day (until March 10, 23:59 PST) for $2.99 instead of $11.99
This keeps being said, but I'd just take a step further it's not a bad piece and you've spent time on it but.. in it's current state everyone knows where it's from.. soooo throw it in a scene and "viola" it's still a portfolio piece and it's part of a bigger scene...
Thanks for the answer, I'm using 4.6.3 (I think, not currently subscribed). I am using TLM_Surface, and the weird thing is that reflections do work as expected in the showcase scene (the sci fi hallway), but not in my scene, and this with the copy pasted material.
What do you mean with a demo? Like a showreel or just a scene? this seems more like a scene than an actual demo. Blockout is coming along nicely though. Which programs are you going to be using for this? Keep it up
