Hey stewart! Here's my main critiques; - The stairs beside the bar look like they're made of one continuous piece of wood, which is odd. - The textures for the poles and the elevated part behind the bar seem to have a lower quality. Did you use small maps for these parts? The raised bit might look better with a tiling…
Hey PC so I've just come back to this project again and I have a huge update. Highpoly is done, Uvs and first bake are done for the gun itself. The tri count for the gun alone is 10,665. I will continue to finish the lowpoly for the magazine and sights and get them up on here as soon as possible. HIGHPOLY [IMG][/img]…
I´m liking the colours a lot. You might as well have the pole continue off screen to get the size as it looks quite small here with that perspective. This contest is all about growing so don´t worry about winning or losing, since you´re winning to yourself just by entering. I don´t expect to come close to winning either,…
It's a big blobby shape with little resemblance to the reference. Turbosmooth is only part of the problem here, but it's like filters in photoshop - untill you've proven you can handle them, leave them alone ;) Every part of this model screams 'smooth abuse with little to no knowledge of the basics', which makes Tanka's…
The drop in artist wages hasn't been super dramatic. The 'golden age' of high entry level salaries for artists really only lasted a few years, during the internet bubble around 2000. I'm more worried about the continuing oversupply of artists in the industry, in the face of frequent downsizing by companies. I'd rather take…
I've occasional freezing, it's not a continuous problem though, it may stop for a while and then come back. My only lead so far is a usb problem: data stream is somehow slow down. Could be that not enough power is delivered on the port, try removing unecessary usb device maybe ? I also seen my cpu go up a little higher…
I've got a script that takes a skinned model and detaches all elements into separate skinned models. It also has the reverse function to combine a bunch of skinned models into one skinned model. So the workflow would be to select your model, run the script and press "Detach Skin". Then select all the parts you want to…
Same here, I see interesting workflow, but showing a simple patch is like playing with nurb patches: very cool but not cool.... Showing on a more "serious" object may be a good idea. And yeah that price doesn't call me to "try" it, even more when there's two script that does similar thing with curves > to poly at a way…
There shouldn't be massive scratches where ther blade doesn't make contact with surfaces. Do you see how some of these scratches ignore ledges and continue across the surface of the object when in reality, a mark wouldn't physically do that in all likelihood? This is a decent start, but more careful and specific painting…
Back from my Central Java Yogyakarta trip and photogrammetry experiments continue ... almost fall off the cliff ,and some kids laugh at me taking excessive images of ground and stuffs ... lol...( totally understandable ) more renders Comin' , my laptop can't handle very dense stuff unfortunately .. so I have to either…
