I would push the spec a bit more to separate the different material types. This is just a visual thing for me but the T on the revolver I think should be point to the front of the gun and not down. Possibly add a emissive to the T's to make em emit a slight glow to them with what being a sci fi gun and all.
looking good so far, keep going! Have you played fallout 3? they had some nicely done guns like this in the mothership zeta DLC. they were brushed metal. if you own it you should rip the textures and take a look. it was a nice effect and very simple (brushing pattern in the spec channel)
Ohhh I understand now, it was the mip-mapping all along. Thanks guys, that dissolve my doubts of using separated textures. EDIT: @GeeDave I've missed your post earlier, I've been required to import the assets in a game engine of my choice then take screenshots from it. Basically the spec requirements are for consoles.
Hi again! I've _finally_ gotten to do a pose, base texture and a render of my croc! Took forever to do low poly, but the result was worth it! Still WiP. Can do alot more with the texture and spec map. And ofcourse he's lacking his swords ;) does the colors work? Hope you like! :)
I think he just means just pictures of the actual texture files, mostly the spec. The model looks great, i think maybe trying to differentiate the materials a bit more would help, like the grips, could maybe look more rubber or something, the second textured version looks better already
Looking really good, but I think you need to take a closer look at the materials. The barrel is a way darker metal and more of a blue tone. At the base of the barrel add some red into the diffuse and the spec. I did a quick paintover to show what I mean. It is a bit over saturated , but you get the idea.
Not sure I get what you mean? I laid down about 150 strands and used GMH2 + distribution ramps. The scene is too big for Vray, so some raycasting errors are showing. Also, I killed the spec on everything, it was driving me insane. The renders are LOW quality but you get the idea.
Hi DarkEdge! This is not normal, should take only a few seconds. Some questions to start off with: -What version of the sute are you running? -What version of PS? -How big is your project? (Resolution of input files) -Whats the spec on your comp? Lots of questions, but ut will hopefully help solve this issue quick :)
What the .... specs here :http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/asus-g60jx-rbbx05-core/4507-3121_7-34024579.html?tag=rnav and link to bestbuy on the right.. Edit: how the .. shitballs do you paste a link form bestbuy.. ? Anyway its the only assus for 899$ if you check the below $899 it will be the only one..
I was thinking that, but I'm seriously not the best with concepts and planning, I screw up and get put off, but I still don't even have the whole scene planned through in my head. yeahh that's true, I don't need a spec or bump for this one.I must say I didn't think of that, thank you!
