Oh thank goodness. Question! I don't have my legit portfolio up and running yet (and I don't think its good enough to consider applying yet), but would it be possible to work on the art test anyway, as practice?
Alright, I threw the Vent model and texture out the window and started fresh. Here's what I have so far, more practicing hard surface texturing. Still more to do however, just not sure quite what...
Done for now! Will be working on adding more grunge to the walls, but I think it was a good practice on making a lived in office. Thanks for all the help guys! If you have anymore advice for sweetening up the scene, I'd still love to hear it. :)
I made this for practice, and seeing as u'r making an effort to improve it I thought it might help It doesn't follow the concept much and the detail is missing, but the rendering portrays a different approach. I try and focus the palette and place the light naturally.
Perhaps you could try joining the polycount g+ hangouts? You'll talk to other people and you can ask what they're working on, explain to them what you're working on... might be a good way to get some practice.
Well... practice is how you will get better, keep trying. I did make a video about sculpting muscles specifically (using photoref), maybe try watching this and then giving it another shot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZNNEwwhrTo
I dont have normal maps or low and high ploy models just the one because i was trying to do a toon hand painted texture practice this is a the texture map I just really want to learn how to do it
its good for practice. Doing a quickie and not doing all the normal steps just seems like lazyness. Especially when you're halfway between a high and low poly model. Its not like you'd have to totally rebuild anything.

Hey Cheese_Shinobi im sculpting in that detail for a few reasons. I am going to be able to sculpt in damage to the separate pieces so they coincide better, and i could use the practice. Ive been working on the balcony. so here are the updates
