I stopped updating this thread but I finished it a while ago, so here it comes. I am very happy that I "finished" the scene in 10 weeks, but I am not very proud of the detailing part of my assets, maybe for the future I will choose a simpler scene
I would like to see more new employees discussing this when they sign their contracts. Sure I don't expect much to come of it for a long time, but I hope for bright future. After all right now the answer is going to be: "Sorry but no. So do you want the job or not?
This work was an art test for Larian studios back in February. I only upload this now because I quadruppel checked if I could. I'm aware of some normal issues due to too elongated triangles and will keep that in mind with future retops even if I want to be highly efficient.
I'm excited about it. It's cool to see new tech and that it's actually already implemented in a big game. I don't think it will replace other things, but it will be awesome to see it around more. Tomb Raider is only the first major implementation, so it can be tweaked and improved to be less bouncy in the future.
Hello all! Coming in with another update on the environment. I was working primarily on the stage area. I decided to make a wooden stage to help tie in some future assets. I also changed the dance floor to wood to connect it directly to the stage where the performance would take place.
i have 2k just keeping them small for sketchfab and forums here :) , thanks for feed back will take into account your input for my future projects, would need to reconstruct low poly again otherwise, I'll be a little more generous with the poly count next time :)
Ok, we decided as a class not to do the triangle part at the top. I do plan to revisit this project in the future and create that part. The UV's gave me some issues, does anyone have any advice on how I could redo them to make better use of the space?
@ged click on offset in the bevel history node in the channel box, than drag mmb in the viewport, and or control+mmb to adjust the value in finer increments. this works for all attributes too. in the future im thinking of releasing some interactive tools i made, which bevel is one of them.
Thanks for the reply Mazerius, il do that in the future :) i hope you enjoy what i post, if you're new to it like me maybe you'll pick something up, if you're already experienced, maybe ill give you some laughs as things go wrong haha :)
