So true:D I bet you've made enough, Kev, to stretch it at least till Fortnite arrives? Looks awesome...again...you should try something not awesome for a change :) Really nice to try to try pick apart the "design logic" and steal some ideas into my "shape bank". Thanks you very much.
@lotetthe connection from chin to neck is undefined because they are separate dynameshXD...still I don't merge together. mmmm I think we are moving away from the original concept. she looks like an elf of santa clausXD. still I see the point you're talking about. I'll be posting the updates soon ... thanks!
The search tool we have here does some pretty nifty things. For next time, if theres a main-stream CG movie its likely we've talked about it. Try doing a search before double posting. Thanks :) http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=52971&highlight=starwars Oh, and the movie still looks awesome.
thanks for the advice Pliang. I actually decided to change up the maps a bit for the props-- giving each it's own 128. After talking to Dabu and a couple other people I think this would be a better route for the props. And I'll definitely be softening a lot of the edges-- I just wanted them in there for class-- nothing's…
Sage. Thank you very much. That was VERY helpful. D o you understand what they are talking about when it comes to contrast in my textures? Like I said, other than the monochrome nature, there is room for change. The -all browns- ect, is a design idea. What could I do to make them better?
suburbbum: Haha thanks a lot, dude. Summer's coming. Be part of the art wave! Jackwhat: Yo dude! I think there's another one coming, and sailing to dan's danger room. You better jump on. We'll talk on skype at some point. It'll be good. Some studies fail. Some studies succeed. Life goes on.
Thanks Bal ! I'll try to update the drivers on my Quadro at work as soon as possible, cause for now with Max 2010 it doesn't work nicely (I got the same problem with selectionned objects :s ) I've talked with Funshark and he tolds me that maybe I should try with Max 2009 too... Wait and see ;)
Thanks for the nice comments guys. I'm working on getting some of my Zbrush stuff up on my site in the next few weeks. Stay tuned. It's probably not a good idea for me to talk about any of the cancelled projects I have worked on. Sorry about that, all I can say is that it was a very interesting process :\
Thanks for replying. This is the result with the "Apply Diffuse" option unchecked. About the "smooth shaded", are you talking about the "Smoothing Groups"? The model has a single smoothing group because there aren't hard edges, since they are chamfered. Should I use different smoothing groups and separate them in…
Yeah, thanks. I did figure it out, but new here so I lost where the thread went or forgot where I posted it. But in any case I did find it in Task Manager as you said. But for me it is far from rare. It happens every day. I have no idea why. But I think it has to be a bug.
