I recently made the jump, and once you get used to favoriting the threads you care about, it feels pretty much the same. I wish commenting would auto-favorite, but apparently it's not possible yet with the current system.
Maybe a system could be set up where if a certain amount of users with a decent amount of replies and joined a date of more than a year ago flag a topic as spam then it gets temporarily removed so that the moderators can review it.
Looks good, going to check it out for the locomotion system alone. It definitely looks like something that would induce motion sickness for those prone, though ..any particular reason why you think it doesn't affect you?
And yet you can buy a little ceaser's pizza for $5. In the back of my mind, I think our economic system (globally) is on the verge of imploding. There's too much that doesn't make sense, too much is based on debt.
Yes, it's very likely. Unity expects 1 unit in Unity to equal 1 metre in "real life" terms. Things like the physics engine have that scale hard-coded. I imagine the lighting system does, too.
I built basically the same system (different case) in december with the 560 ti, same amount of ram and a i7 and its been absolutely awesome to me. I'm sure the 670 is a killer improvement if its in your budget though.
Decals are easier on the PS2, but other systems don't handle the sorting as well. What sort of environment are you doing? Next gen with all the fixins or last gen/portable environment? Mop gave you the 2 ways to do it.
Thanks for the script Revel! You the man! Sorry for the late reply. This new city and job are really taking my time. :/ You are right! Every time I use Soulburn's script it changes the reference coordinate system to local.
I've heard about systems like this being used in clothes retail and stuff, but I don't think it's sophisticated enough to allow you to controll games right now. A bit too early for that infared stuff in my mind.
Goddamn Fable 2 is impressing me. Very interesting combat and death systems. It seems like Lionhead/Moloneaux are really trying to figure out how to make games better. It's a fairly long wait till Fable, but still.
