Hmm. If you can grab it, you would benefit from VRay. Setting up layered shaders is super easy. In the meantime, could you give us a few screen shots of your hypershade/node editor layout?
I have to admit, that looks pretty fun based on the video. It wonder how much hack n' slash it is. And the visuals look great based on the screen shots, wish I could see it running in real time though.
Looks pretty awesome dude! Only glaring issue to me is in the first image, the wood on the side of the screen on the floor and roof, is pretty visibly tiled and mildly off-putting. Otherwise, I think it looks great! Great work!
Adam- To answer your question post processing is a big factor with how the assets are seen in-game but a bulk of the work come from the texture itself, all the images i posted were screen grabs straight out of max.
Thanks guys! I agree DOF and post is over the top right now. I took screenshot late last night just to get the thread going. I'll post more screens with no post. Thanks for the tip GrimFiction! :)
awesome looks like you got a nice bake out of it :) Yeah that's a lot of tri's for the cable but I guess its an object that's going to take up a large part of the screen when its in use so its worth it.
Dayum, I just played your game for like an hour straight! I love it! :D There is a bug (not sure if you know about it) where the play button doesn't show the text and is just a box in the middle of the screen? :L
I really like how yours came out! Its really unique compared to everyone elses. How did you get the background? :o I still have to get a rendered screen cap of mine :o
This is a great start. For the character running at the beginning, you could put all 3 angles in one shot. This is often more visually interesting because it fills the screen, and let's you show the cycles for longer without jump cuts.
i like the clean look you got going on.. only thing that stands out to me is when you click an image a smaller version of it opens up ( might just be my because of my screen size tho)
