Ah, I see what's causing it now - the material exists but it isn't pulling from the material library. Click the checkered circle next to the DynaMask for Varnished Wood, and select Wood - Lacquered in the material browser. That will solve this issue - we'll be patching this in a future update. Sorry about the trouble!…
I like the warmer version as well. Perhaps try and use those cooler values in the shadows. I'd recommend not sharpening the render so heavily and backup your files so you have the option of re-rendering it in the future. I think you're doing great, nice piece.
Hi there! I've been very busy with my full time job for some period but found a bit spare time to make some progress on this project. Still long way to go but hopefully I'll have some opportunity in near future to finish it. Here is the progress before bed
I'm back with a quick announcement: Wisps: The Redeeming has entered closed beta testing. For now only a handful of people will test it, but I'm considering a more open beta test as the release date approaches. If you are interested in testing the game please keep an eye on this page for future announcements.
It's premature to say games are dead or something like that. When you think about all the roads interactive media can take with future technology you realize we're just taking baby steps right now. Also it's a retarded capitalist baby so that complicates things a bit.
I still have alot to learn in terms of digital painting (and everything else really) I think its because I don't blend the colors too well so the end product looks blurry here and there. It's a rookie mistake looking at it and I hope to remedy it with future posts.
Saturday nite? or Saturday night. :shifty: Sadly either days I cant make it. I am pretty sure we'll keep in touch on the messengers and skype. Good luck with your future endeavourers lad. Best wishes. SHARE PICS THIS TIME FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. :D
@klown Thanks dude! I really appreciate it :) It was a nice experience and I hope we can do it again in the future with many more members~ I think that's it for me! I changed his lighting a bit and here it goes! More angles on Artstation and also a 3D preview here
Yes, 8 gigs is just not enough these days. I've 32gigs and am going to double it soon as it'sjust not enough. :) plus, it's dirt cheap. I always allow for future-proofing when I put a new rig together knowing I'll need more a ram sooner or later.....
@RN Ooooh! Talk about missing the forest for the trees. I completely walked past that possibility! We're already in print on this piece but I can update it for future prints. Can you walk me through how you produced the shine? Powerful contrast is proving a challenge for me.
