Right but i was aiming the comment more at the fact that you dont need to merge the verticies or do UVs after you make the pieces, just make your single lego piece, texture it, the instance it throughout the scene. -

The 'traveller book', and old sci-fi role playing game I remember from my youth (with an illustration by Mr Jaquays! Space crusade board game.. I need to buy more lego - it's dirt cheap. -

Sally A-16 (Personal Project)
Hey guys, this is my first post here. =) This work is based on a model made with Lego called "Super Krieger: Hoken". I made this in Maya and Render in Marmoset Toolbag just for presentation. I did the maps with dDo (for diffuse) and nDo (for Normals). Feedbacks and critics are welcome. :) -

It's mostly relating to where things join. The most important thing about working on the grid is the mindset of understanding how it's going to be used. Thinking about it in terms of Lego is pretty useful for most people. -
