Another Update, Did some hair, added a blocking for a lot of the circular screws, did some more of the armour, around the legs, and redid the armour on top of the hands.
Nice start on the Armour. Buuut...where are his big muscels?? You should do the organics first, at least make a basemesh that is similiar to the concept. Would be annoying if you got to squeeze the guy in a tiny armour!
Vassago, bare chested muscular men in loincloth is by far less armoured than leathery armoured ones, but anyway, it does look insanely awesome in the trailer, so I'm not complaining
the flow of shapes across and around that armour is nothing short of beautiful. Really ties everything together. The addition of the skirt thingy really helps this too, but it seems odd that it's a torn rag when the rest of the armour is so clean?
thought I might enter the kingdom hearts challenge on gameartisans, still gotta make his battle armour. 3D coat voxel sculpt *edit - look on the next page too see pooh bear in armour
Hey all! So today is the start of the summer character workshop i'm hosting. I've encouraged the other guys to make their own threads and as/when they do i'll edit this post to contain their links. Please critique them and me as much as you can. Joe…
lol, nice... not true though. the black carapace they have implanted in their skin links directly to the POWERED armour suit. they feel no strain at all being in the armour. i hate being a dork =/
I like the style of the armour, but I think the concept is a little "too heavy" so to speak. Look at some concept art of armoured characters and you may see my point. Cheers
It looks cool but the armour seems impractical. It's more like enhanced shell than armour that is attached to the body. It's too segmented to be read as a suit; particularily in the mid section and crotch.] Good luck with the rest.
You're going to want to define your sculpt further before adding on armour pieces, then you'll have a more accurate base to fit the armour to. Then I'd suggest planes and the shell modifier. Also, for next time, use to embed an image.
