the dynamap is interesting, but the resolution is crappy. we're stressing the VM as is, so while I'm down for some mods; this one might be a bit too expensive. -

Looks like :convertLightmapSetup -camera persp -sh -vm -bakeSetOverride $bakeSet -showcpv; works fine. Why ? I don't know, the command is undocumented. :facepalm: -

Another nice option for virus protection is to run your Internet apps in a VM. You make a read only copy of your disk image and make a copy of it now and then.
