depends what level of quality you're after here - if it's for an ios game then i'd probably just have each wing be like 3 tris and 2 bones but if its a console game cutscene actor then you'll obviously want to go much higher res. best thing is it try it and see how it works out!
"Flash support is available to full source, commercial UE3 licensees." Strange move, its not like AAA games translate well to flash. Would have been something that UDK iOS and indie games benefit a lot from. I also really doubt anyone paying full license just to make a webgame.

With it using Organic LED displays it should give a really nice picture. I just wish it did more than SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. There was a device like this made by IO-Magic, it didn't do to well because hardly any software supported it at the time. Hopefully things have changed since then.
There are a couple of iOS games and just about every recent anime that uses 3D uses this technique as well. Doing with practical particles just will not work as good as drawing/modeling each frame in this case. I found some time to do some more translations last weekend, will post later.
