yeah i'm having to call bullshit on using wacom to play games, unless you know some magic way to make it work,, bewcause i've tried it on several occasions. iff you do have a secret way to make it work thne let me know -

Talbots got a good point with the rope. You might want to distort and twist or FFD some of the pieces to give them age and character. A lot can be said with some gentle bends and pushed around verts. But even then its a great model the way it is, really nice work! -

for me it really depends on the model sometimes i'll just dynamesh and polish the shit out the mesh. Other times I add extra support loops for keeping the shape I want. And for a lot of hardsurface stuff I just do everything in zbrush and maybe ffd it later in maya. -

Agreed, it's a server load test and all so I would expect people to have intermittent disconnects. I guess my underlying complaint is ... WHY THE EFF SHOULD YOU NEED TO TEST SERVERS FOR A GAME PEOPLE WANT TO PLAYER SINGLE PLAYER! :D Thanks, Willem! :D -

Thanks ace, those should help a lot. Also, perna, I made one tread pattern entirely flat with box modeling and used clone, bend and weld to make it round. Then I used a FFD 5x5x5 to stretch the sides down into a tread shape. It was otherwise a flat halo shape. -

Agreed: either alpha map it, or if you must have the detail in high poly use something like illustrator to create the flat lace shape. Import the curves into maya and create one or more nurbs trim surfaces, then deform those surfaces with an FFD or other deformer to match to the body shape. -
