@metalliandy Of course 99.9% people who download this will not buy a retail copy and thats wrong but its not my point. @Entity not really, it could have been someone working where the discs are being pressed. another forum i frequent is full of shitheads who pirate console games and they get them early most of the time.
Thank you Mark! It makes me feel really good to hear things like that. I guess my mission is to use my favorite tool (Max) to do 99.9% of my favorite 3D passtime (Source level design). Hopefully I can continue to add new things to make it even better as time goes on.
Hmmm, my collection is live, but now it seems to be stealing all the ratings from my items XD http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=222330531 -- 199 ratings on the collection vs not enough ratings on the items to even show stars. To be fair, the fact that Quake Live only appeared on Steam after a couple years of its lifespan AND still costs 9.99 is probably at least partly to blame for the low player base, isn't it ? That and the garish look (arguably worse than the 99 original) really doesn't make for an attractive product ... Can't wait to see…

You can find some blueprinty stuff and get an idea of how the joints work. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10069493 What style are you heading for? Cartoony like the series or something more realistic? Will you go for hipoly only or go for game format?
There's a few times a month when I see projects on here that are way too dark or washed out. For game art you don't need something 99.9% accurate, but having something with colors in the right ballpark has benefits. But you can also just check on multiple displays to make sure a project looks good on everything.
Before I clicked the images, I was put off by the huge file sizes. Even though we're past 1999 internet speeds, you could definitely shrink those images down without any loss in quality. Especially since you have photoshop, you could save images using jpegs at hi quality.
I still think my $299 40 gig was worth the price.. It was the cheapest bluray player for quite some time. I guess I could go back to regular DVD's but BluRay on a large HD tv is so flippin sweet, it would be hard to go back.. Oh and I can play games too.. :D
Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know I'm hosting a small contest where you can win a Diamant Tools plugin ($199 US) for Maya so if you're using that software and would like to get this, feel free to head over to the contest's page and read the details:…
This. Applies for all positions below Senior level. If it is a senior level or above, then obviously they are looking for someone with experience (99.9% of the time AAA exp) under their belt. If it is below a senior position, then I am totally in agreement with what Jonas said. Same goes with education as well, IMO it is…
