This is awesome, I love the character that the little guys have, they may only fire, but there's something about them that makes them more than just cannon fodder, very characterful indeed
I much prefer the orange and cream colouring. But this is looking seriously awesome, can't wait to see more. I can also see this turning into a Cannon Fodder - esque type of game.
I would think a regular hardback sketchpad should be enough, but we'll see I guess. Judging from the way the tech works, not at all. Us tip-holders are screwed though.
not much just a decorative flag holder i made on my lunch. The emperors flag will be draped below this. I will try to use UE4s physics cloth here. Hopefully it looks awesome.
I've got the bake done. There are some issues that I have to address with it (seams and some overbake) but generally, I think it turned out pretty well. Texture is just a place-holder.
Flats! The next step for me is separating the different parts of the paintinginto different layers. I tend to do that with flat colors. These colors are more like place holders instead of final color.
Here's a few to try: Crusader: No Remorse or No Regret Commandos series Syndicate Cannon Fodder X-wing vs. Tie Fighter Grim Fandango Privateer (not wing commander series) Diablo
@RustySpannerz, yeah I like that sand too, tbh, I didn't create the textures it came with the NGSS package I use so I just decided to use it at least as a place holder :)
still chipping away at this guy, I feel I need to tone down a lot of the bark details so the face stands out more. Also replaced a lot of the place holder branches
Playing around with pose and rigging. Made a cape from marvelous designer, but prob sure I won't be able to use it. Sword is just a place holder till I can retopo and texture it.
