Really doesn't surprise me. Tim Sweeney has been fairly vocal about his dislike of FBX as a format, wouldn't surprise me to see Epic try to go the gITF route at some point.

I'm back. I ran a small test for the tiles. I wanted to test if texture would be a cool tric or If I would model the tiles. I'm not sure yet. (Texture and UVS temporary, studio lighting)
Generally there are certain things you have to look at when you are concepting, I think learning the rules is the first step and once you can work with them and create cool shit, that is when it becomes epic!
I watched a trailer on this game in Activision's booth. The game looks good, but not EPIC good imo. Some of the nice visuals were the command centers which sported some of that Doom3 glitzy animated control screens.

That game798 website is so bizarre. Those guys have awesome skills, yet they have an entire forum filled with "remakes". I think they have a remake/copy of every vehicle Epic has in for Gears and UT.
Rediculously bulky characters are the main thing that bother me with game art lately. UT3, Gears, etc. Maybe i'm just butthurt over everything epic did after the original UT, but i dunno.
I agree with Cap... the suit is epic, but the head is lacking. It's not bad perse, but it just doesn't seem up to today's standards. How much texture space did you allocate to it? Also hair needs to be pushed.
