I'm using 4096 textures on an object. I've only had a normal map on there until this morning when my AO finished baking. I can put the AO in the diffuse, but once I check "high quality rendering" to see my normals, my whole computer grinds to a halt. Any ideas?? Maya 2009 64 bit.
I think this is a really good start! I like the pistol model you made. I was curious about the geometry and modeling - I don't know if it would be more useful to have fewer samples, but show more of the underlying topology of the models you like best. Also, to agree with the comment above about specialization, I'm not sure…
some of the work I did when I was at HiRez Studios working on Paladins. There are some super early prototype here and some final things. I wore many hats on this, from modeling, texturing, world building and asset creation. It was a fun experience for sure! Hope you like some of these screenshots :)
ya i know it is possible to get it to match up since i did work on some hats way back when tf2 did the polycount update, but i got no clue what i did to make it work. your using 2.57 and http://code.google.com/p/blender-smd/ right?
Aw man, I wanted to play as a bloody bunny, but, beta didn't unlock today because I pre-ordered Bulletstorm on PC :P (which got me exactly nothing :P), other than a kickass game ;D I wonder if this means Gears of War 3 will have hats..
Thanks Disanski, I checked out that brush and it works really well the problem being is those curves warp round the whole head so I have hat to do them in stages front then turn the model round then do that back which even with lazy mouse still isn't ideal.
Can you show me a picture of brick steps that are as damaged with even flight strokes as that? No dick comment here, I'm just noticing a habit in how these sorts of stairs are being created amongst the art community and am ready to see it become old hat. It doesn't look at all realistic to me.
