Thanks for your kind words, I was about to quit making items just when they accepted the set. That means I'll be making more in the future I guess. This thread wasn't very popular so I didn't bother updating but I'd better do that from now on ;)
Had trouble with Keyshot crashing this morning so I rendered in ZBrush. Thanks to everyone that put this contest on, it was so much hard work but I learned a lot and it was totally worth it. I still have A LOT of refinement to do on this guy, I hope to finish him in the future.
Na na na my friend. I think you misunderstood, It wont stay that way I've just deleted the bright blue part because I have to rework it and I will definitely add more of those blue parts in the future ! :) thank you! you are the best.
I'm between 3D coat and Topogun (2). Actually, it's topogun because of its clear visualization and precision. But 3Dcoat has the fastest tools to create geometry. I hope Topogun will enhance some of this features and tools to speed up the process in the near future ( and tend to be less buggy )
At first this project started a head sculpt a while ago, but I decided to make it into a bust. I decided to make a cowboy/cyborg from the future. I will take the opportunity to learn the PBR workflow with this character, since it has a good mix of materials. Here is the sculpt so far.
Hard to tell from the pics, but some buttons are convex and others are concave so the user can get some difference in tactile feedback without having to look down. I believe a pro version will be re-visited in the future with structural and software changes based on community feedback.
Geeaaar! mine wrist is dast hurtin! Id raise my hand but if I move it in any direction I get sharp pains shooting into me eyeballs.... well, not really, but id love to move into the future without deez mouses! Edit: before jesse: after jesse:
thanks guys, never thought of the weight factor but yeah that probably would get annoying. DO they generally take 2 AA's? Maybe i'll see if i can try one out at future shop. I wonder how these combo wireless keybourd/mouse setups are.
I have to agree, those guns are really really plain, and don't fit with the theme at all. They look like typical "20 years in the future" guns from any sci-fi shooter, not space based weaponry. Did they add them in just to cater to their forum fans?
Nice advice. I never thought of using the material Id for a process of baking. Perhaps that would be useful for very large complicated bakes. (super complex gun/something). I think I shall check that out, later in the future, in the meanwhile, those Uvs are staying in limbo!!!
