Like others said, the lighting really brings out some details. Would just like to add that those lamps you have in the mech room are really really powerful, they are used to light up massive areas, they should definitely cast a shadow behind the mech and even light up the wall behind a bit as well. Great work! -

Desktop. Cheaper, larger screen, better workspace, upgradeable in the long Run, better components and and a hugely better workspace. Just sayin unless you are crazy passionate about using a laptop and move around enough to justify it, powerful laptops for 3d are huge and heavy. I much prefer my desktop coming from my g74sx… -

Working more on the Leshrac set. I wanted an image of cosmic power welling from within him, and since he's quite attuned to the world around him I thought magma and lava would be nice visual inspirations. Thanks a lot for posting it, there is a lot of great concept stuff on there to draw from. Also I darkened the shadows a bit. Just added a power of (set to 5) between the constant clamp and the divide in the lighting setup. Gives me a lot more control over the shadow darkness Will try and find some time to fix the shotgun… -

As a photoshop power-user with a most rabid demand for the best of photo editing suites... Krita before GIMP. All day 'ery day. GIMP's chunky, nasty, and several steps below Krita in almost every way. That said, Fuiosg's answer is correct. GIMP does do a few things that Krita doesn't, so download them both. -

Ha! Tor's work is probably one of the main reasons I decided to download the modo trial for a little experimental fun, seems like it could be pretty damned powerful coming from Max. I'm rather curious about the texturing part in modo, is it procedural similar to Substance Designer or is it its own separate beast?…
