Here's another update on the face. This is my first test for her face. Something is wrong with her eyes. I made another test starting from zero and here's the result. I like more how eyes turned out on this one. So I'll try to blend the two faces into one. -

I made an effort to learn to draw a bit better this year. I'm not sure if this helps, but forcing myself to use a hard edged brush with a high opacity helped me to actually think about defining the shapes I was putting down rather than hiding behind smudges and blending. This is an awesome thread. :) -

Its looking good so far. But, for me at least it seems a bit generic. Theres nothing really wow about the design so far. It did instantly remind me of an ironman / crysis nanosuit blend which is not a bad thing. Just work on making it a bit more unique. Keep it up! -

You actually can tile a piece of an atlas texture in UE4. It's just that it requires a different material instance. It can be done by subtracting the rows/columns where the specific tile is from the UV numbers in the texture sampler. The bad part is that you get MIP bleeding if you don't account for padding in the atlas. -

Hi Kosai106, This happened 100% of the time for CS3-CS5, but it's not been a widely reported issue for CC 2014. The fix bleeds over to all versions of PS however, so if you have also been experiencing it and we are indeed talking about the same issue, it will be fixed for CC 2014 as well. - Teddy -

max sorts alpha blended objects according to the order of creation. afaik there's no fix possible in a dx shader. in ssimple cases you can get away with duplicating meshes and deleting the originals to re-jig the creation order but that's about your best option the second problem is just spec/gloss isn't it? -

Thanks guys for great comments and advice. Now I working on moss material to blend it using PrecomputedAOMask in Unreal. Before creating the moss I tested with basic green color. I think it should look better with the final texture. Let me know if you know another option. Thanks. -
Re: Merging multiple UV's?
Generally it would be better to use its own material for the hair, because it requires different blend mode than the rest, because of the transparency. Anyways, to answer your question, yes there are several methods to get clean bake and stuff. For merging them, youd simply attach them, and pack uvs. Done. -

use a different colour backdrop then your diffuse. You want to make it pop out not blend in :) and ease up on the DOF/blur effects I like the idea of the map, but maybe make it one of a city/town it's too small to be useful to the rider unless it's more a trophy thing then nvm it's good haha -
Re: Smoothing Groups
Everything Red is in Smoothing Group 1; everything Blue is in Smoothing Group 2. Since the boundary between Groups 1 and 2 don't have any shared groups, the shared vertices don't blend together. If you don't post a screenshot, we can't be any more helpful than this. Sorry.
