i would say YES.. BUT this only is an advantage if it is highly moderated - threads with the exact same questions are merged or all except one will be deleted. navigating through a whole subforum is just for its sake not more helpful then navigating through a big big thread. But it CAN...
kproulx actually guessed it correctly first. The post didn't show up because it required moderation. So, kproulx... You're up to post a quote. If no quote goes up within 24 hours, its all yours, Joopson. Sorry about the mix up.
PMs for dodgy threads that need attention are fine. I'll see if I can find out what happened to the Report Post button, that was useful, and should be available before resorting to PM'ing moderators. [Edit]Beaten by the Brome. I've also cleaned up that thread.
Selfish centered noob Probably this individual doesn't want people to see or learn from the archived post. If you come here ask for people's help, you should be ready to share the common knowledge. If i was a moderator, your ass would be banned clean.
after playing a bit more, discovering the Missions to get more points, and generally getting better i started getting sucked in... not because it was fun, but because i wanted to level :) moderately fun games, but 80% of them were 1:4 blue:red balanced
I can pimp this blog here it has a lot of great info. I mostly moderate it and I have a few friends that occasionally post. I should really update it more with modeling advice for environment it is a little heavy on texturing pipeline stuff. https://environmentart.wordpress.com/
congrats on your 1337th post; Don't really have an opinion here, just dropped in to say that I honestly think it'd be hilarious to see fox try to find replacements, and see how terrible it ends up being, as of now I find it moderately funny.
Unfortunately these kind of discussions can't be held here because too many people worked on games that are used as an example, and it just gets ugly from there. I think there's something to be said for subtlety and moderation, but, creatively, the games industry doesn't have a lot of either one at the moment.
Here's wires. Sorry if my responses are a little delayed, I'm being moderated since I guess I haven't posted here before. Funny since I signed up months ago. There's also an animated flyby in my demo reel: http://philnolan3d.com/
I was unaware of the need to moderate the thread before uploading so it seems multiple have appeared. If MODs notice leave this one and nuke the rest please. Here are images of the other elements of the train and props. Software used includes Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop and Substance Painter.
