Hi, i've been busy learn and building some stuff on unreal But i have some progress here 1) Remember the fish? this is my super basic fish animation, nothing special or complex... but instead the fix stays static at least now they will have basic movement when sliding on my matinee routes to the fish tank. 2) my elevator…
Yeah, I was debating about the door. The references I was working from the most have the non-door bolted opening, while some have a traditional hinge door. In the end I went with the built in version, not for any real reason beside that it fits closer with the reference.
I've been working on this character for a while now and decided to make a thread as I work on getting his presentation finished. I'm using Marmoset Toolbag 2 for the renders.
The very interesting part is that games like Doom, Dark Forces and Duke Nukem (all good representative of the non-linear fps genre) were all designed as 2D blueprints, seen from top down. This is how their engine worked, how their editor worked, and in great part how the games played too. If you bring up the Doom map while…
Hey guys, new to the forum, but I'm gonna try and overcome my shyness and make a few posts here, would absolutely love some feedback if anyone is feeling generous. I'll start with some portraits: They're kinda rough I know, but I was trying to get them done with some haste.
Ouch, best of luck with that! As I've been in a similar situation I can give one piece of advice, Don't Stop doing your Art. I lost my job as 3D artist, and due to poor economics and a iffy portfolio (my own fault) I got stuck in the unemployement train, I managed to last for a year using all my saving but was close to…
New to this community. You've probably seen my stuff on LevelUp or basically anywhere besides DeviantArt (they have gross UI that does no favors for your work) ^^ My version of a female Praetor Suit. c&c welcome
10/12 Door and blinds got me. thing that made the door seem fake was the extreme contrast of shadows from the wall to the upper portion of the door, but knew that was sort of a 50/50 chance that it was just a photo with contrast adjustments too. But no, you'r not the only one Yozora :P
Hey Tectonic, I assume you are talking about the doors. If that was the case, it made me realise my door was completely off the mark with what it's supposed to look like. It's meant to be a metal door, lol I tried de-saturating it some and adding more scratches and highlights to make it more metallic:
That's a cool concept. It's still off a bit I think. In the concept the width of the hallway looks to be a little under 2 door heights, and it's closer to 3 door heights in your blockout. Also the wall in the concept looks like it's about 1.5 door heights tall, and it's a bit more it blockout.
