I like where this is going, but if the model is still just over 600 tris you should add in the extra 400. If you've got a budget of 1024 you need to hit that. -

Thanks for the reply WIll my 512Mb GTS250 be enough for MAYA/MAX and After Effects at 2560x1440 resolution? I have read that the 600 series lacks in Maya/Max.What's your take on that? -

Edit: In Atlanta, 600 a month is not to uncommon, I was thinking of splitting an apartment with another poor artist for around 300 each. Seems that Austin is a bit more expensive tho. :\ And thanks! -

I think it'd be okay. Does she have a job lined up? If you figure both of you will make around 60K - 80K together, you'll both be fine.
