Very cool new stuff. As for the flower, put your logo in the corner over the "indie arcade" bit (this ). Definitely. You want people to see and know the name, but be curious of what its about. I know you're probably already there, but that's my two cents.
I would just like to add my two cents. This is the head mesh I defined for my last project, I found it really clean and useful for creating both male and female heads as well as really easy to add loops where required.
My only crit would be the wide of his shoulders, his legs are long but this chest looks too small, I know he's supposed to have an Asian body complexity, but his shoulders could be wider to fit the rest of the body. my two cents.
eld: that's the thing. I dont know if you ever went to one of these schools, but the people that come out aren't always adults. It can be as early as a year and a half out of high school. do what you will tho. it's just my misguided 2 cents.
Hey Wester, I like where it's going, but I think if you break up some of the negative space on the left side of the page, and add a bit more foreground love, I think it'll definatly shape up. Thats my two cents.
my 2 cents is that you should learn your fundamentals...anatomy, color theory, design...etc If you dont have a solid foundation regaurdless of what style your shooting for, your going to struggle. Don't let your "stlye" be your crutch.
Firstly master native features of your software before installing any plugin to change anything. If you try to change something before you master and you get a problem, you can't understand its because of the plugin, max or you. That's my 2 cents.
My 2 cents regarding topology is that i try to avoid long thin triangles even if it means higher polycount. Those triangles are a regular source for ugly lighting/shadow artifacts and it's not like in the old days where every single optimized tri was hugely important.
I really like the way the spark editor for ns2 is set up. Its kinda like google sketchup, to me hammer and a lot of other stuff including unreal engines bsp is kinda slow and i don't like it but thats just my 2 cents.
my comment right now, would be that the top piece, that "cross"... looks hard, not soft. maybe add a bevel only the top edges to make it look softer. thats just my 2 cents. very unique idea though, never seen one of these before.
