Vailias I could kiss you...I have 112 reference pictures, and not one is a stright up un-posed angle. And to top it off its not painted which is so much easier to read. Shall change the proportions and rescale forms today! Below is the kinda angles ive been working with ;D
School project, 2d concept provided by school, 3d modeled character me, textured me, rig provided by school LP 13k tri 2048x2048 texture, looking for feed back :) I'll be updating more as I tweak the maps over the next week before submission.
Photo textured, retop, unwrap ( it's meant to be 13k tris), basic first textures, import to engine. Think it's looking ok so far. Gonna clean the textures up tomorrow...or later today. Start looking at getting hair on it. Little scared. But excited.
thanks, I am really happy Simon is dedicated to present things nicely. Bombarded him with information lately will see how long Render Hell 1.2 will take, the writing and copy pasting took me a bit as well, but no comparison to his work.

Size includes textures though, and those textures may be used elsewhere as well etc. If you use switches you can disable part of the master material to save instructions. 122 instructions is doable and not too over the top. I would stick to what you have and go work for workflow speed in this case.

fixed up ao a little and threw it into toolbag Heres an old shot of the wires, may have changed since then dont remmeber. Its about 6500 polys, which is a little more than i would lie but still within reason(ut3 weapons have 12-13k for first person i think?)
Made this some time ago, not exactly what you want as the movement needs to be done by hand, but perhaps it helps. It requires a face selection in an unwrap modifier. edit: added a center button to move the selection by whole units to have its midpoint in the 0-1 range -- move uv'sfn F_moveUV movePos = ( if selection.count…
