Renderhjs forgot to mention how hypnotic watching a moderately complex shell flatten in UVL can be - watching the pretty colors shift from red and bright blue to a minty green... it's quite relaxing, actually. :P
That's quite amazing, Thermidor. I, for some reason, thought of Ghost in the Shell at first sight of your work. Using a cartoon type shader really (IMHO) brings this character to life... at least for me. Please continue!
I had this lady eat a huge garlic smelling pickle sitting next to me in lord of the rings...I couldnt move cause the theatre was packed..and she sat there and slurped and nursed the thing for the whole movie
I have a theory that it might be something to do with Max creating "Shell materials" or backing up existing materials when using render-to-texture... but it's far more likely that it's just the viewport shader, as Steve says.
how wet is wet? I have spilled a drink on mine while working, but not a lot, and still lives. I suggest to let it dry and it might be fine. The seem to be air tight so there is a chance that it fine. Alex
Yup, you read that right. It was horrible. Their was a thick layer of black grease in front of the stove. It smelled terrible. We ended up replacing everything. Carpet with tiles, cabinets, sink, appliances. It was all really gross.
Smoothing groups based on uv shells ibegyoupleeeeeeesae???! Thanks for this one! Could you also add 'Set Vertex Normals' command in your UI ? Without it you can't see smoothing groups taking effect.
Hot dayum, one of the most interesting head concept for Naga! It's pretty seamless from what I observe. Just a note that the hero portrait view might not display the best if the shell pattern is in counter-clockwise.
It make me want to make a knock off game called flippy birds..a hand flying through orange pipes that flip you off every time you tap it..you smell that..that's cash, mountains of it
Awesome, great start! Too often people get caught up in the details, especially with something as seemingly familiar as a human skull, so it's pretty swell you were able to stick just to the structure/form.
