In addition to the tips and advice everyone else has given, it might be helpful for you to practice figure drawing and do anatomy studies. It will help you wrap your mind around modeling and sculpting the human body in 3D.
Going back to a project I had started earlier in this thread. Started working on some clothing and getting more practice with marvelous. Also started on a blockout for a sekiro arm prosthetic Might turn it into a full character later.
dontcha think the elevation is a taaaad too much? looks odd and out of place to build a cabin with no stairs/ladder practically on the side of a mountain. feel like your terrain choice is dragging down the quality of the other stuff.

You can overlap the UVs if you know the lighting will be the same, for example they'rthey're all on the North side in shadow. But that's a pain to deal with in practice. Usually you just accept the lower resolution and use automatic lightmap UVs.
No, you do not have to learn a 3d program before learning compositing. You can start compositing you're own photography as a start, or a random photograph or image, or someones 3d model online as a practice point for starters.

johan your work is very good and the woman looks attractive but you should have turned up the supersampling or FSAA on the renders and i don't approve of the practice, most artists seem to be using, of ditching the gloss maps.
