Projection isn't always going to work perfect with the click of a button. Some cleanup is generally inevitable. How many levels have you projected? If just that base level then kanga's suggestion to add more geo is the way to go. To get an accurate projection you need enough geo to support it. If all else fails, you're in…
Thanks for the help guys, executing the script didn't give me any more errors, but it also didn't do anything lol. Is anyone using Maya 15 that can direct me to where the "bake" button for Turtle would be? Topogun has helped with baking my maps but I would like to compare before I include it into my pipeline. Cheers, Adam
You have to freeze the transformation > clear the transformations and double click the rotation button to pull out a menu for the transformation to switch to global transformation from Local. This happens when you have too much history of rotations on one object. EDIT: Be sure that the object is selected before you freeze…
Even if this button is there, it works the opposite. It will work because then you will have uv splits along smoothing splits. And thats the point. But imagine a character for example. You clearly don't want any hard edge on it, so you don't do smoothing splits, but you must split the uvs at some places. And you still…
Hi Thomas, the game looks beautiful actually. How you guys deal with all the 2d objects one over other that you show in the video, are all static objects ?. And talking about the plants and leafs the movement uses bones for the deformation or are you using some kind of mesh deformation? I saw the same deformation on some…
They're gonna have to come up with something way better than 3G to stream content like a game to your phone :p Amusingly hand helds do offer at least one distinct advantage over smart phones - their physical interfaces aren't designed by clueless morons who have no understanding of tactile feedback - ergo, they have…
I had a problem like this and solved it by unlocking the normals. Also maya does have smoothing groups use them. Haha. Can you post the section of the troubling normal Map if you have one? Are you using 2014 if so what build? Also have you clicked the fix normals button inside the normal map inside of unity???
Hey man, Looks pretty cool. I'd have to say that the biggest issues i see is that the proportions, don't match your concept very well. The shoulders are very wide in comparison to the hips. And her arms look the wrong length. Usually arms on humans have the elbow line up with the belly button and the wrist at the bottom of…

There is a 'read the small print' button that has the extensive rules in it. "Participants can enter as a single level designer or as a team. it is the responsibility of the team to decide for themselves how/if to split up the winnings amongst themselves. All ages are eligible, however minors must have a parent or legal…
